A site about the National Women's Leader of the APC in Sierra Leone, built entirely on public sources, with a chatbot grounded solely in her verified public statements. Trilingual: Dutch, English and Krio (beta).

Show a sister-in-law, a prominent politician in the Sierra Leonean diaspora, what AI-assisted development produces when one developer and Claude sit down for an evening.
What I built
- Sixteen public sources looked up and checked (Cocorioko, Awoko, Sierraloaded, Sierra Trends, SGM Live, AYV News, Calabash, Sierra Leone Telegraph, UK Companies House)
- Copy written and typeset in three languages (NL, EN, Krio beta)
- Nine sections built: hero, timeline, herstory, quote wall, diaspora map (8 chapters in North America, 3 in Europe, with a transatlantic arc), social pulse, the chatbot, press and accountability
- The system prompt of the chatbot written and grounded solely in verified public statements
- The whole experience animated with Framer Motion: parallax timeline, pulsing ticker, moving map
In detail
- A timeline that runs backwards, from the ambition for 2028 back to the fundraising in 2017
- Herstory: a 65-year line, from Nancy Steele in 1960 to Mariama now
- Interactive diaspora map with eleven chapters across North America and Europe
- Chatbot (Gemini 2.5 Flash) with explicit grounding and a disclaimer
- Language switch between NL, EN and Krio (beta) across the whole interface and the chatbot
Outcome
Shown live during a family visit. Mariama gave the go-ahead to keep building, and the site is now publicly online. The source code stays private.
