Summary

A complete website for a company that rents out marquees, furniture and catering equipment: a bilingual marketing site, a product catalogue with packages in three price ranges, and a quotation and booking flow with an online deposit. Behind it sits an admin environment of its own in which the owner keeps track of requests, stock, planning and finances themselves. Content lives in Payload CMS, payments run through Mollie, transactional mail through Resend with delivery tracking.

The brief

A rental company needed a site that is not only findable but carries the whole process: from quotation request to deposit and planning. And the administration had to be able to sit entirely with the owner, without a developer in between.

What I built

  • Bilingual site (NL/EN) with a product catalogue, packages in three price ranges and local SEO landing pages per town
  • Quotation and booking flow with a pricing engine: weekend rule, deposit per category and delivery costs that depend on distance
  • Online deposit and remaining payment through Mollie (iDEAL), with webhook processing and quotations and invoices as PDF
  • An admin environment of its own: requests on a kanban board, product and package management, a planning calendar, a financial overview and settings
  • Availability with date blocks and a secured iCal feed into the owner's own calendar
  • Transactional mail through Resend with delivery tracking in a log table of its own, and a lead sync to a Google Sheets CRM

In detail

  • The owner runs the business themselves: requests, stock, prices and planning all go through the admin environment, without a developer
  • Pricing engine with a weekend deal (Friday to Sunday counts as two days), a deposit per category and delivery costs based on distance
  • A deposit on booking and the remainder later, both through iDEAL, processed and invoiced automatically
  • A custom sign-in flow with a configurable session length ('remember this device'), with the trade-offs documented explicitly in the repository
  • 73 automated tests on the error-prone core: price calculation, delivery costs, sessions and redirect validation

Outcome

Live at flevofeestverhuur.nl and in daily use since the spring of 2026; further development runs in small, tested steps.
